About Shadow: Shadow is a go-getter with a bold personality and a playful streak. He especially enjoys trail rides and exploring the Greystone property with his students. His whole-body movement gives students plenty of motion to feel, follow, and learn from. As one of our most expressive horses, he has taught students and volunteers so much about horse body language. And since he first arrived, his communication has changed its tune from wary side-eyes to trusting requests for scratches–all thanks to the power of patience, understanding, and diligent training from our team. We love you, Shadow!
Fun Fact: He loves romping in the field with his buddies Opi and Echo, and thrives on adventure.
Horsey Hoofnote: Shadow sports quite a unique coat! “Overo” indicates that white patches – often with jagged, irregular edges – do not cross over the horse’s back. And these can be patterned as frame overo like Shadow, splashed white, or sabino. Not only that, but overo horses tend to have bold facial markings and blue eyes–making them hard to miss!
